New page

As we have continued learning about modern Chinese history throughout the course, a thought of "wow...this kind of sounds familiar" often pops into my mind. When I read about the Sacred Edict, I thought of the Communist "Red Book" and how it was very similar to the Sacred Edict in the way that people took it more than just thought, rules, or even opinion. They took it as moral guidance and treated it almost as though it was a divinely inspired work to be followed with exactness. I guess the old saying that history will always repeat itself looks a little more true than I suspected. [[User:Jack Finnigan|Jack Finnigan]] 05:25, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
