     My name is Li Simin, I was born in Yiyang of Hunan Province on October 31th, 1999.

     I am a persevered girl. Once I have a goal, I will try my best to accomplish it, and I never give up in the halfway. I am also a girl with a sense of humor. I like telling jokes to make my parents and friends happy, because then I will be happy too. In my spare time, I have board interests like many other youngsters.  I like sports. I often play badminton or go for a run with my roommates after dinner. During the summer vacation, I often go swimming with my friends or cousins. After exercise, I will feel relaxed and sleep well. I love travelling, too. Once I have a holiday, I will take a trip with several good friends or my parents. I have been to a lot of places so far, such as Yunnan, Xi-amen, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Thailand. I love traveling very much, because travelling can makes me relax and releases me from academic pressure, broadens my horizon, experiences the local conditions and customs of different places, and I can also make many friends during traveling.

     In 2017 I was admitted by University of South China to pursue a bachelor degree in Arts. My major is English. These four years had cultivated my strong interest in English learning and made me more confident. As the saying goes, “Interest is the best teacher”, so I study very hard in college. The precious experience of striving for contests and examinations motivated me a lot to pursue further education in learning English. When I was in junior high school, I often saw interpreters on TV who translate for overseas guests on TV programs or in the government press conference, and I thought they are so cool and capable. So from then on, I have dreamed of being one of them when I grow up. And I found that I prefer translation to interpretation, because I think translation is a kind of re-creation and I can spend more time getting to know the author and the background, and polish my translation again and again, and I really enjoy that. So that’s why I chose to pursue further education to study translation.
