Autumn Vein said:"Then we might as well scatter and leave him alone in the room."While they were talking one by one and having fun,a nanny came in.She passed a message of Splendid Phoenix:"Someone will bring a gardener to plant trees here tomorrow. Neither Autumn Vein nor Turquoise Mark know anything, so they just middle through it and ask about something else. Little Red knows it deep in her heart that it should be the one met outside the study yesterday.The original family name of Little Red is Lin and the first name is Red Jade. But since sharing the same word "Jade" with Precious Jade and Mascara Jade is considered offensive to them, so people just simply call her "Little Red". 这红玉年方十六，进府当差，把他派在怡红院中，倒也清幽雅静。不想后来命姊妹及宝玉等进大观园居住，偏生这一所儿，又被宝玉点了。 这小红虽然是个不谙事体的丫头，因他原有三分容貌，心内妄想向上攀高，每每要在宝玉面前现弄现弄。只是宝玉身边一干人都是伶牙利爪的，那里插得下手去？

Red Jade was 16. Before serving in the Grand View Garden she was assigned to work in Happy Red Court, which was quiet. But after girls and Precious Jade Merchant moved to live here, Precious Jade Merchant appreciated Red Jade. Though she was pure, with her good look she fancied herself so attractive that Precious Jade Merchant would notice her. Every time meeting him , she showed off. Red Jade was 16 then. She came and served in Merchant Mansion, being assigned in Happy Red Court, where she felt quiet and cosy. But girls and Precious Jade moved to live in the Grand View Garden, and Precious Jade just picked that court. Though she was an innocent girl, with her good look she always had a delusion to clime upward. So every time meeting Precious Jade, she showed off. 不想今日才有些消息，又遭秋纹等一场恶话，心内早灰了一半。正闷闷的，忽然听见老嬷嬷说起贾芸来，不觉心中一动，便闷闷回房，睡在床上，暗暗思量；翻来掉去，正没个抓寻。忽听窗外低低的叫道：“小红，你的手帕子我拾在这里呢。”

She finally got an opportunity after all the trouble, yet suffered all these bad words from Autumn Vein and others. She was feeling hopeless inward when the Nanny talked about Ruta Merchant, which rekindled her hope. She back to her room silently and lied in bed, tossing and turning and thinking to herself; but had no idea. Just then, she heard a voice from under the window:"Little Red? Hearing that, Little Red quickly got up and went outside to look. To her surprise it was Ruta Merchant. A maidenly confusion mantled her comely cheek. "Where did you find it?"she asked timidly. Ruta Merchant laughed: "Come over here and I’ll show you!" He took hold of her dress to pull her to him. Overcome with shame, she turned and fled, but her foot caught on the threshold and she fell on her face. 第二十五回 魇魔法叔嫂逢五鬼 通灵玉蒙蔽遇双真 话说小红心神恍惚，情思缠绵，忽朦胧睡去，遇见贾芸要拉他，却回身一跑，被门槛绊了，一唬醒过来，方知是梦。因此翻来复去，一夜无眠。至次日天明，方才起来，就有几个丫头来会他打扫房子地面，提洗面水。

Chapter25 The brother and sister-in-law suffered magic and came across five ghosts, jade was deceived and ran into the two sages. Little Red was in a trance and feeling lingering,suddenly she fell asleep, and dreaming of Ruta Merchant pulling her. She turned to leave but was tripped by the threshold, feeling so shocked that she woke up and then realized that was a dream. Due to the dream, she kept tossing and turning all night and sleepless. 这小红也不梳洗，向镜中胡乱挽了一挽头发，洗了手，腰中束一条汗巾，便来打扫房屋。谁知宝玉昨儿见了他，也就留心，若要指名唤他来使用，一则怕袭人等多心，二则又不知他是何情性，因而纳闷。早晨起来，也不梳洗，只坐着出神。

Rather than titivating herself, Little Red just twisted her hair casually in front of the mirror, washed her hands, fastened a handkerchief around her waist, and then came to clean the room. God knows yesterday Precious Jade would see and even pay attention to her. Thus, the thoughts that if she is asked by Precious Jade to wait on him by name, Aroma will be over-worried, plus she doesn't know Precious Jade's character puzzle Little Red a lot. 一时下了窗子，隔着纱屉子，向外看的真切，只见几个丫头打扫院子，都擦胭抹粉，插花带柳的，独不见昨儿那一个。宝玉便靸了鞋，走出了房门，只装做看花，东瞧西望。一抬头，只见西南角上游廊下栏杆旁有一个人倚在那里，却为一株海棠花所遮，看不真切。

When Precious Jade took down the shutter, though the window, he had a clear view of several maids sweeping the courtyard. All of them had heavy madeup and wore flowers or willows in their hair, but Precious Jade saw no sign of Red Jade. He slipped on his shoes, walked out of room and looked around, pretending to appreciate flowers. Once he looked up, he found a figure was leaning over the balustrade in the southwest corner of thr veranda. But the figure was sheltered by a crab-apple tree that Precious Jade couldn't have a clear glimplse of his face.--He Minghui (talk) 16:33, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

Precious Jade put the window down and through shutters he had a clear view of the outside, seeing several maids sweeping the courtyard with heavy makeup in their faces and flowers and willows in their hair. But the one who had appeared yesterday was nowhere to found. Precious Jade then slipped on his shoes, walked out of the room and looked around, pretending to be appreciating flowers. Looking up, he found a figure was leaning against the balustrade at the southwest corner of the veranda. Precious Jade stepped forward to have a close look. It turned to be that the blurred figure was the maid he saw yesterday, and now she was in a trance. Precious Jade attempted to meet her, but shyness held him back. While hesitating, he saw Turquoise Mark was coming to invite him to wash his face, so he had to go inside. This was where the story had come to an end. Now let us turn to Little Red who was in a trance. Suddenly she caught sight of Aroma’s waving at her, and she headed towards Aroma. 小红便走向潇湘馆去，到翠烟桥，抬头一望，只见山坡高处都拦着帷幕，方想起今日有匠役在此种树。原来远远的一簇人在那里掘土，贾芸正坐在山子石上监工。小红待要过去，又不敢过去，只得悄悄向潇湘馆，取了喷壶而回，无精打彩，自向房内倒着。

So Little Red walked towards Bamboo Lodge. When she arrived in Green Smoke Bridge and looked up, surround the top of the hill were curtains. Then it occurred to her that there were workmen planting trees that day. And a group of people dug in the earth there far away. Meanwhile, Rue Marchant, sitting on a stone, was supervising them. Little Red was ready to get there but afraid the next moment. Therefore, she had to move to Bamboo Lodge silently to fetch the watering can. Then it occurred to her that there were workmen planting trees this day. A group of people dug in the earth there far away while Rue Marchant was sitting on a stone and supervising them. Little Red was ready to get there but afraid the next moment. Therefore, she had to move to Bamboo Lodge silently, fetching the watering can. 众人只说他是身子不快，也不理论。过了一日，原来次日是王子腾夫人的寿诞，那里原打发人来请贾母、王夫人的，王夫人见贾母不去，也便不去了。倒是薛姨妈同着凤姐儿并贾家三个姊抹、宝钗、宝玉，齐都去了。至晚方回。 王夫人正过薛姨妈房里坐着，见贾环下了学，命他去抄《金刚经咒》唪诵。

Everyone juts thought she was uncomfortable so they didn't talk about it. It is Saor King's wife's birthday that the next day. Servants of King's family were dispatched to invite Grandma Merchant and Lady King to attend her birthday banquet. Grandma Merchant didn't go so Lady King didn't go either. Aunt Marshgrass and Sister Phoenix brought the three Merchant sisters, Precious Hairpin and Precious Jade visit the Kings instead. They didn't return back until late. Lady King was visiting and sitting in Aunt Matshgrass's room. Finding Ring Merchant's class over, she asked him to copy "Diamond Sutra" and read it aloud.--Li Siwen (talk) 13:27, 1 March 2022 (UTC)

Everyone just thought he was uncomfortable physically so they didn't talk about it. Next day was Soar King's birthday party where Grandma Merchant and Lady King was invited.But Grandma Merchant didn't intend to go, seeing this, Lady King did not go either. However, Aunt Marshgrass and Sister Phoenix with the three Merchant sisters, Precious Hairpin and Precious Jade, attended the banquet and did not return until very late in the evening. As Ring Merchant sit on the kang in Lady King's room, he ordered a servant to light a candle and transcribed with an affectation. He either asked Sunset to serve the tea for him, or request Jade Bracelet to cut the wax flower or complaint Golden Bracelet blocked the light. But those servant girls mostly sick of him did not respond. Only Suncloud who could get along with him served him tea and whispered,"you should better be quiet, why do you always annoy others?"--Li Wanying (talk) 14:45, 1 March 2022 (UTC)

As Ring Merchant sat on the kang in Lady King's room, he ordered a servant to light a candle and transcribed pretentiously. He either asked Sunset to serve the tea for him, or request Jade Bracelet to cut the wax flower or complaint Golden Bracelet blocked the light. But those servant girls mostly were sick of him and did not respond. 贾环把眼一瞅道：“我也知道，你别哄我。如今你和宝玉好，不大理我，我也看出来了。”彩霞咬着牙，向他头上戳了一指头，道：“没良心的！‘狗咬吕洞宾——不识好歹。’” 两人正说着，只见凤姐同着王夫人都过来了。

Ring Merchant glanced at her:"I know already, so there's no need for you to wheedle me. I see that nowadays you're in good terms with Precious Jade and pay me no attention, too." Gritting her teeth, Suncloud gave him a dig on he head:"You brute! You are as ingrate as Dongbin Lv's dog." 王夫人便一长一短问他今日是那几位堂客，戏文好歹，酒席如何。不多时，宝玉也来了，见了王夫人，也规规矩矩说了几句话，便命人除去了抹额，脱了袍服，拉了靴子，就一头滚在王夫人怀里；王夫人便用手摩挲抚弄他，宝玉也扳着王夫人的脖子说长说短。

Lady King then asked him about who the guests were, whether their articles were good or bad and how the feast was. After a while, Precious Jade also came back to meet Lady King, greeting politely. After he asked servants to take off his headband, robe and boots, he soon collapsed into the lap of Lady King. 王夫人道：“我的儿，又吃多了酒，脸上滚热的。你还只是揉搓，一会子闹上酒来。还不在那里静静的躺一会子去呢。”说着，便叫人拿枕头。宝玉因就在王夫人身后倒下，又叫彩霞来替他拍着。宝玉便和彩霞说笑，只见彩霞淡淡的不大答理，两眼只向着贾环。

Lady King said, "my son, you've had too much wine again and your face is hot. You just rub it and make wine up later. Don't you lie there quietly for a while." Then she asked someone to take the pillow. Precious Jade Merchant fell down behind Lady King and asked Suncloud to pat for him. He joked with Suncloud who didn't answer faintly, and her eyes only looked at Ring Merchant.--Liu Yixin (talk) 11:57, 1 March 2022 (UTC)

Lady King said, "son, you've had too much wine again and your face is red. You can just rub your face to get sobered. But after that when you are wasted, I have no idea where you are going to lie quietly." Then she asked someone to bring some pillows there. Precious Jade Merchant fell down behind Lady King and asked Suncloud to pat his back to make himself feel better. 宝玉便拉他的手，说道：“好姐姐，你也理我理儿。”一面说，一面拉他的手。彩霞夺手不肯，便说：“再闹就嚷了。” 二人正闹着，原来贾环听见了，素日原恨宝玉，今见他和彩霞玩耍，心上越发按不下这口气。

Precious Jade Merchant then held Suncloud's hands, said,“ Play with me, please. I know you will because you are the best in my eyes!” As he said this, he reached for her hands. Suncloud did not want to play with him and said:“ I will scream so that everyone will know that you are lady-killer if you keep disturbing me!” The two went back and forth for a while when Ring Merchant heard the noise. He hated Precious Jade Merchant as always did so when seeing Precious Jade Merchant disturb Suncloud, he could not control his feelings and just let it go anymore. —Ma Feifei (talk) 16:17, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

Precious Jade then held Suncloud's hands, saying“ Don’t ignore me, my sister” As he said this, he reached for her hands. Suncloud shook off his hands and refused:“ I will scream so that everyone will know that you are lady-killer if you keep disturbing me!” The two went back and forth for a while when Ring Merchant heard the noise. He hated Precious Jade Merchant as always did. 因一沉思，计上心来，故作失手，将那一盏油汪汪的蜡烛，向宝玉脸上只一推，只听宝玉“嗳哟”的一声，满屋里人都唬一跳。连忙将地下的矗灯移过来一照，只见宝玉满脸是油。王夫人又气又急，一面命人替宝玉擦冼，一面骂贾环。

After a deep thinking, an idea came to Ring Merchant’s mind.
