= Abstract =

The study of communicative translation theory is of great significance for guiding translation practice and promoting the development of contemporary translation theories. Newmark is a famous theorist in the field of communicative translation. This paper mainly expounds the background of Newmark's communicative translation theory, the dialectical relationship between translation and communicative translation, the dialectical relationship between communicative translation and semantic translation, and the translation strategies and limitations of communicative translation. It probes into the roots of Newmark's communicative translation theory and seeks its reference significance and guiding role for contemporary translation theories in order to extract the essence of Newmark's communicative translation theory Better serve the translation practice.研究交际翻译理论对于指导翻译实践,促进当代翻译理论的发展具有重要意义。研究交际翻译理论,纽马克是翻译界难以避开的著名理论家。本文主要就纽马克交际翻译理论提出的背景、翻译和交际翻译、交际翻译和语义翻译的辩证关系以及交际翻译的翻译策略和局限性等方面进行阐述,推究纽马克交际翻译理论根源,寻求其给予当代翻译理论的借鉴意义和指导作用,以期撷取纽马克交际翻译理论的精髓,使其更好服务于翻译实践。

Comparison of Peter Newmark and Katharina Reiss' Text Type Theory纽马克和莱斯文本类型理论的比较

Both scholars, British scholar Peter Newmark and German scholar Katharina Reiss have put forward the theory of text type translation, and their proposed translation theories have an important position in the research field. This paper compares the text types of both and interprets the two theories in order to deepen the understanding of their translation theories, and at the same time hopes to gain new perspectives on translation theory research and translation strategies through comparison. 英国学者彼得·纽马克和德国学者凯瑟琳娜·莱斯这两位学者都提出了文本类型翻译理论，而且他们所提出的翻译理论在研究领域有着重要地位。本文将两者的文本类型进行比较、对两个理论进行解读，目的是为了加深对两者翻译理论的理解，同时希望通过比较来获得对翻译理论研究和翻译策略的新视角。
