Internally the Golf is now a big car check out the internal dimensions it is very similar to a 3 series. Do you think that the equivalent (and also excellent) A3 is also not worth 27,000? If you think that the A3 is worth it, then why?. and then why not the Golf? They are effectively the same car!!

Many people want to have a Golf on the drive regardless of how much money they have don't you get it yet???? Not everyone feels they have to have a "prestigious" (whatever that means) "badge" on the drive. Not everyone is desperate to impress!! You know, some of the cheapest little houses often have "prestigious" marques parked on the drives nothing wrong with that if that's how they want to spend their money, or opt for their diesel company car. It can make people feel better about themselves but it is a delusion. Many people drive Golfs rich or poor It is classless. You'll see high spec'd Golf's outside of multimillion pound mansions. I need a hatch it is an excellent car I always have a hatch on the drive but didn't want anything too "boy racer" although I did have a good look at the R, but didn't like many things about it including the seats, so I choose a twin charger TSI 160 as it is ideal. It's the perfect size and there was nothing else available that could compete at the time that is why I'll compare it with the revised A3 or a 3 series GT next yr.
