(f) How is peace assessed? Peace usually refers to the absence of war or other hostile acts of violence. It is also used to describe a person who is not excited or quiet. In general, the maintenance of a state of peace between states is the aspiration of most people and organizations, especially international organizations such as the United Nations. Peace can be spontaneous, and political agitators can avoid getting too excited; Peace can also be coercive, such as the use of coercion to restrain those who cause disturbances.
