基于《诺顿世界文学作品选》看中国文学在西方世界的地位变化 ——以第三版（2012年版）《诺顿世界文学作品选》为例

Abstract:

 World literature anthology plays an important role in the spread of cross-cultural literature. As one of the three most important works of world literature
in the English-speaking world, the Norton Anthology of World Literature has an unavoidable influence on the selection and dissemination of Chinese
literature. Since its initial publication in 1956, it has undergone several reprints and supplements. In this process, the number of Chinese literature works
is constantly increasing, and their selection criteria and arrangement are becoming more consummate, reflecting the changes in the status of Chinese 

literature in the western world. This paper takes the third edition of the Norton Anthology of World Literature published in 2012 as an example to probe into these changes.

   “世界文学”这一观念自19世纪20年代为歌德所提出后，就不断被研究和讨论。这个超越国家、地域、民族的概念，展现了广阔丰富、多元共存的视角。而随着中国文学在海外

不断地传播与被接受、被解读，在世界文学中的地位也不断变化。研究中国文学在世界文学之中的地位的重要途径是解读和分析西方世界文学选集，因为文学选集在文学传播中发挥 着不可忽视的作用，尤其是跨语境的文学传播上，几乎成为了读者接受世界文学的主要的、甚至唯一的途径。世界文学作品的选编是世界文学理论与实践发展的重要内容，在西方有 长达一个多世纪的历史。其中，21世纪面世的世界文学作品选中，最为重要的三部成果是《诺顿世界文学作品选》、《朗文世界文学作品选》和《贝尔福德世界文学作品选》。而在 此之中，又以《诺顿世界文学作品选》（以下简称《诺顿》）最为历史悠久且最负盛名。本文试以第三版《诺顿世界文学作品选》（2012年版）为基础，探讨中国文学在西方世界的 地位变化。
