Two Ysbyty Gwynedd final year medical students tested the skills of Wales Air Ambulance paramedics, Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) paramedics, RAF medics and a hospital doctor at a simulation based at the home of the North Wales Air Ambulance, Caernarfon Airport.
Under the supervision of Consultant Anaesthetist Suman Mitra, and the Undergraduate Centre / North Wales Clinical School West, Jennifer Bayliss and Zoe Bennetton, Cardiff final year medical students based at Ysbyty Gwynedd, devised a project in medical simulation training aimed at pre hospital trauma care.
Using two wireless human physiology simulator manikins capable of simulating the reactions of a real person to trauma, the duo knocked on the door of the ディーゼル 店舗 Wales Air Ambulance to ask for help in testing the scenario they had set.
The Helimeds, along with colleagues from WAS and the RAF, spent 30 minutes in the field being tested to their limits by the mock accident they found in front of them.
