1.湘菜,即湖南菜,在长沙地区又被称为本味菜,是中国历史悠久的八大菜系之一,早在汉朝就已经形成菜系。以湘江流域、洞庭湖区和湘西山区三种地方风味为主。

Xiang Cuisine (Hunan Cuisine), one of the eight cuisines with long history in China, is called as local cuisine in Changsha area, which can date back to Han dynasty. 2.湘菜制作精细,用料上比较广泛,口味多变,品种繁多;色泽上油重色浓,讲求实惠;品味上注重香辣、香鲜、软嫩;制法上以煨、炖、腊、蒸、炒诸法见称。

Xiang cuisine is renowned for its delicate production, wide chose of materials, multiple flavors and categories. Heavy oil is used in the dishes so they often represent different kinds of color. 3.霸王别姬是传统湘菜名菜,在湘菜中,霸王别姬这道百年不衰的传统湘菜,历史悠久,问世于清代末年。它选用甲鱼(鳖)和鸡为主要原料,辅以香菇、料酒、蒜等佐料,采取先煮后蒸的烹调方法精制而成。

Farewell to the Concubine is a traditional Xiang cuisine. It was originated from the late Qing dynasty (1636-1912). The main materials of this dish are turtle and chicken, supplemented by dried mushroom, cooking wine, garlic and other ingredients.
