Instruction to write the Final Exam paper
- Please choose a topic and write the topic behind your name in the list beneath.
- Please look at some sample final papers from earlier classes. You find them by clicking on "Main page" on the left side and then into some of the old courses "Introduction to Translation Studies".
- Please read the pdf I sent you and look for a fitting translation theory to solve a translation problem. Please read further about the theory by using key words of the theory in the search field on the left side of this website: There you find ppt, further final papers with the same theory etc.
- Especially look at the structure (Title in English and Chinese, name, Abstract in English and Chinese, Key words in English and Chinese, Introduction, Literature Review, Method, Research Question and Hypothesis, Introduction to a practical translation problem, Introduction to a fitting translation theory, Usage of the theory to solve the translation problem, Conclusion and Outlook, References)
- Please use at least 3 English sources and 2 Chinese sources
- Please make sure to indicate after each paragraph the literature you refer to, e.g. (Wang 2021:324) or (Peterson 2020:12). Of course all of this literature needs to be indicated in detail in the References section in both English and Chinese. (So English literature needs to be indicated together with a Chinese translation of the bok title and the other way round.)
- Please write an English paper of at least 5,000 words.
