Course aim (aims):  Expanding students' knowledge of the grammatical structures and vocabulary of classical Chinese.  Acquainting students with selected works written in classical Chinese.  Developing the ability to interpret and analyse works written in classical Chinese.  Expanding students' knowledge of the differences between classical and modern Chinese.  Enriching students' knowledge of classical Chinese culture. 2.
