RC: wrath aimed at Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress for ニューバランス calling out Brett Favre after Sunday night's game. Favre's Hall of Fame career entitles him to some special care, but Childress also had to surrender manhood points to accommodate him over two seasons. It is hard to throw Favre under the bus when he's the guy driving it.
Things we don't understand

NBA opening thoughts
TW: just not buying David Stern's threat that the league might have to solve its economic issues by getting rid of some teams. Stern runs a league of giants, and there's no way he'll let his legacy become that of the guy who brought shrinkage to the NBA.
RC: the Miami Heat tie the record of 72 wins, that will be a 53% improvement over last season. The Minnesota Timberwolves, my pick as this season's surprise, would have to win 23 games to achieve the same improvement. My money is on the Wolves.
