About

'Chu Ninao Ji' (出泥淖记, "Out of the Mire") is a work of Chinese reportage literature (报告文学) by Ren Linju (任林举). The book documents China's poverty alleviation campaign in Jilin Province, following the stories of rural villagers, local cadres, and party secretaries as they work to overcome deep-rooted poverty. Through vivid narratives spanning multiple villages and communities, Ren Linju portrays the human dimension of one of the largest anti-poverty efforts in human history.
