Jing Shanhai (经山海, literally "Through Mountains and Seas") is a novel by Zhao Defa (赵德发), first published in 2017 by Anhui Literature and Art Publishing House. The German translation, Durch Berge und Meere, was published in 2025 by European University Press.

The novel follows Wu Xiaohao (吴小蒿), a young female deputy township head in a coastal community in Shandong Province. Through her experiences in rural governance, the narrative explores themes of grassroots politics, marine culture, archaeological heritage, and the tensions between tradition and modernization in contemporary China. The story is structured around entries from the book On This Day in History (《历史上的今天》), connecting personal events with broader historical currents.
